We are looking for a DevOps System Administrator who has skills and experience working with Linux and the AWS cloud environment. We are seeking someone who has a passion for supporting our development and operations teams that will help protect and inform our nation’s most Elite Special Operations Teams, Law Enforcement and First Responders that keep us safe. Responsibilities:

  • Administering and problem-solving issues on multiple Linux platforms (RHEL and CENTOS)Automating Linux services by writing scripts and cron tasks Recording processes and Automation for cloud services
  • Streamlining and monitoring appropriate services in AWS and Azure for processing, networking, storage, security and other resources
  • Manage, organize, and prioritize help desk tickets as they come up and solve technical issues rapidly for enterprise deployments
  • Work in development and production environments with config management (GIT), including detailed documentation.
  • Clear and effective communication with the development, operations and management teams
  • Handle multiple tasks and work independently as well as a team member
  • Lead brainstorming sessions to gather requirements

Qualifications:

  • Three (3) years of experience working in AWS
  • Three (3) years Linux System Admin experience including scripting, security, and networking
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills and the ability to logically think through problem situations
  • Knowledge of standard Linux configurations including security (SE Linux), network (iptables desired), file system partitioning, general application performance tuning,
  • Strong knowledge of design, implementation, and support of networked systems and technologies such as firewalls, routers, switches, file servers, DNS, and LDAP
  • Experience architecting and supporting highly available and highly scalable
  • infrastructure
  • Experience with docker, Kubernetes, Ansible, and Spacewalk (a plus) for embedded systems and cloud solutions
  • Solutions and client service-oriented, with an emphasis on creativity and relationships
  • Process orientation, capable of creating new processes, or significantly redesigning existing processes to align with hanging business requirements
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills demonstrating the ability to assimilate new information and understand complex topics
  • Comfortable with a high degree of ambiguity
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills as well as strong interpersonal skills
  • Candidate must possess, or be eligible for US Government Security clearance
  • Experience with Atlassian tools (JIRA, Confluence, Bitbucket) a plus
